This is an annual continuing education conference partnership with the Division of Graduate Studies, Continuing Education. Board Members Laura Hutchins, Randy Armstrong and President Andrew Raeside attended and/or presented workshops on integrating arts into curriculum.

March 15, 2003 The 8th Annual New Hampshire Young Writers Conference
8:30 a.m. -5:00 p.m. Plymouth State College
For high school writers (grades 9-12 ) and English Teachers
Day-long "formal" educational events including conference-wide gatherings to hear professional writers read, writing workshops which bring together small groups of students for extended sessions with a single author, as well as time for public readings, student interactions, and impromptu discussions.

National Deadline Creative Ticket Schools of Excellence Awards
"Creative Ticket Schools Award" identifies exemplary arts education programs in district, elementary, middle and high schools. To be considered for a "Creative Ticket School Award," 2 or more of the following characteristics should be included in the school's arts education program:
&Mac183; The school should teach all the arts (music, visual arts, dance, and theatre) as specific disciplines as well as integrated into other subject areas.
&Mac183; Th program should create and use imaginative learning environments for teaching the arts and recognize that the arts are critical and essential to education.
&Mac183; The program should provide opportunities for parental involvement in the educational lives of their children through lands-on, creative arts-based activities.
